Celle is a town and capital of the district of Celle, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The town is situated on the banks of the river Aller, a tributary of the Weser. A partially renovated half-timbered house was built on the retaining wall of the city wall on Altencellertorstrasse. Today it is the Celle Schützenmuseum. It houses the gallery of the Celle Schützenkönige since 1901.
