The Frilandsmuseet is one of the world's largest and oldest open-air museums with more than 100 buildings from all over the country. The museum is located north of Copenhagen at Kongevejen in Lyngby, North Zealand. It opened in 1897 as a building section of the Danish Folkemuseum (at the current location from 1901), and in 1920 it came under the National Museum.
